A Newtonville resident, Trevor Headley, pleaded guilty on Mar. 30 in federal court in Boston to charges related to cocaine distribution.

Headley, age 32, admitted guilt to one count of possession with intent to distribute 500 grams or more of cocaine and two counts of distribution of and possession with intent to distribute cocaine. U.S. District Court Judge Allison D. Burroughs scheduled his sentencing for June 23, 2026. Headley was initially arrested and charged in October 2025.

According to the prosecution, Headley sold cocaine on multiple occasions to an undercover law enforcement officer during August 2025. On Aug. 12, he arranged a transaction through communications and met the officer at a pre-arranged location where he sold approximately 112 grams of cocaine. A second controlled sale occurred on Aug. 27 involving about 451 grams of the drug.

Authorities also reported that recorded phone calls from September revealed Headley’s discussions about acquiring an additional kilogram of cocaine for sale and interest in obtaining firearms and machinegun conversion devices as part of negotiations related to drug sales.

Following his arrest in October, a search at Headley’s residence uncovered roughly three kilograms of packaged cocaine ready for distribution along with over $32,000 in cash and other items associated with drug trafficking activities.

The charge involving possession with intent to distribute more than 500 grams carries a mandatory minimum sentence of five years up to forty years imprisonment as well as supervised release terms and fines; other charges carry penalties up to twenty years imprisonment each according to U.S. Sentencing Guidelines statutes.

United States Attorney Leah B. Foley announced the plea alongside officials from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms & Explosives; Drug Enforcement Administration; and Boston Police Department: “This case is part of Operation Take Back America, a nationwide initiative that marshals the full resources of the Department of Justice to repel the invasion of illegal immigration, achieve the total elimination of cartels and transnational criminal organizations and protect our communities from the perpetrators of violent crime.” The prosecution is being handled by Assistant U.S. Attorney John T. Dawley.
