A Lynn resident, Emilo Garcia, also known as “Six,” has been sentenced to 18 years in prison by U.S. District Court Judge Patti B. Saris for leading a significant drug trafficking organization on the North Shore of Massachusetts. This sentence will be followed by five years of supervised release. Garcia pleaded guilty in February 2025 to charges including conspiracy to distribute controlled substances and possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime.
The investigation into Garcia’s activities began following an overdose death in Salem in July 2023, which led authorities to his drug trafficking organization. On November 1, 2023, law enforcement conducted searches at four locations linked to Garcia and his co-conspirator Sebastien Bejin in Lynn. These searches resulted in one of the largest seizures of fentanyl and methamphetamine in Massachusetts history, with nine kilograms of pink heart-shaped fentanyl-laced pills disguised as candy among the confiscated items.
In total, authorities seized an estimated eight million doses of fentanyl and methamphetamine-laced pills and powder from the organization, valued at over $8 million on the street. Additional drugs such as cocaine and cutting agents like xylazine were also discovered during the investigation.
Garcia was charged alongside Sebastien Bejin and Deiby Felix in November 2023, with indictments following from a federal grand jury in December 2023. In May 2025, Bejin received a sentence of 12 years imprisonment plus five years supervised release. Felix pleaded guilty earlier this year and is awaiting sentencing.
United States Attorney Leah B. Foley announced these developments alongside Kimberly Milka from the FBI Boston office; Colonel Geoffrey D. Noble from the Massachusetts State Police; and Essex County District Attorney Paul F. Tucker. The case was prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Philip A. Mallard with support from various local police departments and agencies.
