A Haverhill man has been sentenced in federal court for trafficking cocaine and illegal firearms around the Boston area. Cordell Miller, aged 29, received a sentence of 42 months in prison followed by three years of supervised release. This sentencing follows his guilty plea in February 2025 to charges including distribution and possession with intent to distribute cocaine, aiding and abetting, as well as trafficking in firearms and conspiracy.

Miller was apprehended in November 2023 alongside co-conspirators Malcolm Desir and Alan Robinson. Authorities identified Miller as a trafficker of firearms and ammunition within the metro Boston area. In August 2023, he coordinated the sale of significant quantities of cocaine and multiple firearms to a cooperating witness. Before his arrest, Miller and Robinson facilitated the sale of four distinct firearms: an AR-15 “ghost gun” rifle, a Polymer 80 “ghost gun” pistol, a HIPOINT 9mm rifle, and a Ruger .38 caliber pistol.

Alan Robinson was sentenced in April 2025 to ten years in prison followed by five years of supervised release. Malcolm Desir received a seven-year prison sentence on June 18, 2025, which includes three years of supervised release with one year served under home detention.

The announcement was made by United States Attorney Leah B. Foley; Scott Riordan, Acting Special Agent in Charge of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives’ Boston Division; and Boston Police Commissioner Michael Cox. The Suffolk County Sheriff’s Department provided valuable assistance in this case. Assistant U.S. Attorney Luke A. Goldworm from the Major Crimes Unit prosecuted the case.
