A Fall River woman has been sentenced to 70 months in prison for her involvement in a sex trafficking conspiracy, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Massachusetts.

Cory Primo, 43, received her sentence from U.S. District Court Judge Angel Kelley and will also serve five years of supervised release. Primo was ordered to pay $5,000 in restitution to three victims involved in the case. She pleaded guilty in August 2025 to one count of conspiracy to commit sex trafficking and was among six people charged in July 2024.

Authorities said that between April and August 2023, Primo worked with others to traffic an adult woman and two minors from Massachusetts. According to prosecutors, Primo began helping her co-defendant sell the victims because she was “broke.” She sent photos of the victims to buyers, arranged meetings for commercial sex acts, and negotiated prices. Primo reportedly joked about her participation by comparing it to “playing a game of Tetris.” She also encouraged another co-defendant to use violence against the victims and showed indifference toward their suffering as long as money continued coming in.

“United States Attorney Leah B. Foley; Assistant Attorney General Harmeet K. Dhillon of the Justice Department’s Civil Rights Division; and Michael J. Krol, Special Agent in Charge of Homeland Security Investigations in New England made the announcement. Valuable assistance was provided by the Somerset Police Department. Assistant U.S. Attorney Elizabeth Riley, Chief of the Human Trafficking & Civil Rights Unit and Trial Attorney Francisco Zornosa of the Criminal Division prosecuted the case.”
