A federal grand jury has indicted Ranfli Felix Garcia Brito, a 36-year-old Dominican national living unlawfully in Worcester, on charges of dealing firearms without a license. Garcia Brito was previously charged by criminal complaint on July 17, 2025, and remains in custody.

Prosecutors allege that Garcia Brito began selling firearms and ammunition in Worcester in April 2025. According to court documents, he sold an AR-15 style rifle and high-capacity magazines to a cooperating individual at the parking lot of a Walmart Supercenter on April 11, 2025. He reportedly provided his phone number during this meeting to arrange future transactions.

Five days later, on April 16, Garcia Brito allegedly met the same individual at the same location and sold another AR-15 style rifle with a magazine loaded with 28 rounds of ammunition. Over the following months, authorities claim Garcia Brito met with the individual five more times at the same location, selling over 20 firearms in total across seven meetings between April and July. The items allegedly sold included large-capacity magazines, ammunition, a silencer, and a laser attachment.

If convicted of dealing firearms without a license, Garcia Brito faces up to five years in prison, up to three years of supervised release, and a fine of up to $250,000. He is also subject to deportation after serving any sentence imposed. Sentencing will be determined by a federal district court judge based on U.S. Sentencing Guidelines and relevant statutes.

United States Attorney Leah B. Foley stated: “United States Attorney Leah B. Foley; Bryan DiGirolamo, Acting Special Agent in Charge of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, Boston Feld Division; and Paul Saucier, Police Chief of the Worcester Police Department made the announcement today.” She added that valuable assistance came from the Drug Enforcement Administration as well as police departments from Franklin, Mansfield and Auburn. Assistant U.S. Attorney Kaitlin J. Brown is prosecuting the case.

“This case is part of Operation Take Back America, a nationwide initiative that marshals the full resources of the Department of Justice to repel the invasion of illegal immigration, achieve the total elimination of cartels and transnational criminal organizations (TCOs) and protect our communities from the perpetrators of violent crime,” according to officials involved in announcing the indictment. “Operation Take Back America streamlines efforts and resources from the Department’s Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces (OCDETFs) and Project Safe Neighborhood (PSN).”

Authorities emphasized that all details contained in charging documents are allegations and that Garcia Brito is presumed innocent unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
