A Brockton man, Malcolm Desir, has been sentenced to seven years in federal prison for his involvement in cocaine and firearms trafficking around the Boston area. The sentencing took place today in a Boston federal court, where U.S. Senior District Court Judge William G. Young also imposed three years of supervised release following Desir’s prison term. The first year of this probation will be served under home detention.
Desir, 33, had pleaded guilty in February 2025 to several charges, including distribution and possession with intent to distribute cocaine, being a felon in possession of a firearm, firearms trafficking, and possessing a firearm to further drug trafficking activities. His arrest occurred in November 2023 alongside co-conspirators Cordell Miller and Alan Robinson.
The investigation revealed that Miller was involved in trafficking firearms and ammunition within the metro Boston area. During the investigation from August 2023 over three months, he sold several firearms during controlled purchases to a cooperating witness and organized multiple cocaine sales through Desir. On one occasion, Desir sold a firearm he had previously acquired from Miller two years earlier. Authorities recovered over 1.5 kilograms of powdered and crack cocaine along with illegal firearms during a search at Desir’s residence.
In related developments, Alan Robinson received a ten-year prison sentence in April 2025 with an additional five years of supervised release. Meanwhile, Cordell Miller pleaded guilty earlier this year and awaits sentencing on June 23.
United States Attorney Leah B. Foley announced these proceedings along with Scott Riordan from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives’ Boston Division and Boston Police Commissioner Michael Cox. Support was also provided by the Suffolk County Sheriff’s Department throughout the case prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Luke A. Goldworm.
