A Boston man, Felisberto Lopes, also known as “Chee-B,” has been sentenced to 10 years in prison followed by five years of supervised release. The sentencing was delivered by U.S. Senior District Court Judge William G. Young in federal court in Boston. Lopes, aged 40, had pleaded guilty in November 2024 to charges including conspiracy to participate in a racketeering enterprise, possession with intent to distribute over 500 grams of cocaine, and multiple counts of being a felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition.

Lopes was among 22 individuals indicted in May 2023 for offenses related to racketeering conspiracy, drug and firearms trafficking. He was identified as a member of Cameron Street, a violent gang based largely in Dorchester. The gang is accused of using violence to maintain its territory and enhance its reputation. Members allegedly use social media to promote the gang’s activities and denigrate rivals.

During the investigation, Lopes distributed firearms and cocaine to a cooperating witness. A search of his residence following a shooting incident led law enforcement to seize half a kilogram of cocaine, over $25,000 in cash, crack cocaine, oxycodone pills, and over 400 rounds of ammunition.

Previously convicted for aggravated assault and battery with a dangerous weapon causing serious bodily injury, Lopes served four years in state prison.

This case is part of an Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces (OCDETF) Strike Force Initiative aimed at dismantling significant criminal organizations through multi-agency collaboration.

The announcement was made by United States Attorney Leah B. Foley along with other law enforcement officials from various agencies involved in the operation. Assistant U.S. Attorneys Christopher Pohl and Charles Dell’Anno are prosecuting the case.

“The remaining defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.”
