An Adams, Massachusetts man has pleaded guilty in federal court to producing child sexual abuse material. Brian Warner, 38, entered his plea on November 4, 2025, before U.S. District Court Judge Myong J. Joun. Sentencing is scheduled for February 12, 2026.
Court documents state that between July and December of 2016, Warner used coercion and other means to persuade a minor to engage in sexually explicit conduct so he could create visual depictions of the acts.
The charge of sexual exploitation of a child carries a mandatory minimum sentence of 15 years in prison and can result in up to 30 years behind bars. It also includes a possible lifetime period of supervised release and a fine of up to $250,000.
Acting United States Attorney Leah B. Foley and Michael Krol, Special Agent in Charge of Homeland Security Investigations in New England announced the plea. Assistant U.S. Attorney Caroline G. Merck from the Springfield Office is prosecuting the case.
“This case was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative to combat the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse, launched in May 2006 by the Department of Justice,” according to officials. “Led by the U.S. Attorneys’ Offices and the DOJ’s Child Exploitation and Obscenity Section, Project Safe Childhood marshals federal, state and local resources to locate, apprehend and prosecute individuals who exploit children, as well as identify and rescue victims.” More information about Project Safe Childhood can be found at https://www.justice.gov/psc.
